API Keys

The client admin can configure API keys to facilitate the usage of Webex Engage's APIs for chat creation and user management.

Add an API Key

Follow these steps to add an API key:

Navigate to Admin Console > Assets > API keys.

Click Add API Key on the top-right corner of the screen.
The following screen appears.

Enter the API Key Name.
An API key is auto-generated. However, you can refresh and replace it with a new one.
Select the Team Names across which this key should be shared. The API key can be used for chat or user operations in all teams that have been mentioned in the Shared With field.
Click Add.
The success message appears on the screen.

Edit an API Key

To edit an API key, click Edit icon in the actions column of an API key. Edit the required fields and click Save.
The success message appears on the screen.
